Uhhhgggg! I want to post there but know it will never be read and that crazy pack of men would just misunderstand me anyway.
I hate how people don't understand that different cultures speak different languages and find different things offensive. We're so use to Jesus' words we don't hear how offensive and possibly vulgar they were.
I also find it ironic that the first text that comes to mind is Paul telling men who are clinging to the law (circumcision particularly) to emasculate themselves. Pretty crude but makes a very good point.
These guys are holding on to some social construct of what holy speech is and not realizing that God judges the heart. I know the Bible says from the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks but I think if you analyze Mark's words translated through the language of a college guy's cultural dialect you will see what he says is truth. And I think truth is a good thing to becoming out of a pastors heart.
