I'm home from vacation! (sigh)

So, I just got back from my family's traditional annual camping trip to Deception Pass on Whidbey Island. It was great fun, which always produces the usual extreme melancholy upon return, and along with it much reluctance to get back to work. Especially since today is my second day at my second job. I hate starting new jobs.

The first day of the trip (Gail's birthday) produced a good 12 hours of rain! Which sucked! Hooray for Washington! We spent it digging trenches around our tents. Though, as soon as Gail decided she couldn't take it anymore and left, it got sunny and hot! My roomie Elaina showed up and we went out for an adventurous hike. She likes to take far too many photos as well, so it was perfect for me! No sidekicks complaining that I stop too much to photograph (well, I guess I do). We were too lazy to take out our real cameras though (just here fun little digital!), so luckily the short hike didn't take until sunset to finish. But I figured this time I will post in batches, instead of all 1 million at once. So here is part of the first day. Now I'm off to my new job as wine girl, while trying to avoid Seafair.
